The Rainbow In
The Clouds
By Mary Skoglie
I was in a bad
mood that day, waiting for a bus. The sky was cloudy with a little
sunshine. I looked up into the clouds around the sun and noticed GORGEOUS
colors of the rainbow all around the sun. It got me to thinking, if we
can see colors this beautiful here on a messed-up planet, just imagine the
literal colors we will see in Heaven, an unspoiled treasure yet to
come! How very beautiful and wonderful Heaven will be, in all
ways.
I looked away
when I finally had to. My mood still wasn't the best but it was
better. In beholding the beauty around the sun, I thought more about the
SON. I thought more about Heaven, something I don't do often
enough. If I was this blown away by some beautiful colors in clouds
around the sun, how blown away will I be in Heaven with the Son of God and the
most beautiful and perfect surroundings I could never even dream of?
I need to think
about the Son more. I need to think about Heaven more. God blew me
away. He took this anti-social, moody person and got her thinking about
the life to come. That only happens when we focus on the Lord Almighty,
or when He ministers to us. He is indeed the Lord. Not just because
of the beauty around the sun, of course. But because He is the very One
Who created this beauty. And the unspeakable beauty to come.
