THINGS THAT MAKE ME FEEL WEALTHY RICH

By Patti Iverson

Doing stuff for others no matter how big or small.

Giving money to homeless without checking to make sure he gets food or whatever.

Beauty School pedicures, manicures, facials.

Being able to buy whatever I want at thrift stores.

Setting table with linen napkins, glassware, no plastic.

Buying prepared foods.

Having a young mama do my ironing.

Dressing nicely, being groomed instead of slobby.

Having acrylic, fake nails.

Tea parties with both young and older ladies.  Real tea, little sandwiches, tea cups ‘n pots.

Swimming in a clean, chlorinated pool.

Riding the Harley Davidson anywhere, anytime.

Shoes that match my clothes—even if they’re all from thrift stores.

Real jewelry—or fabulous ‘n fun fake stuff.

Music and dancing all by myself in my house.

Time to read Bible ,books and magazines, watch tv, listen to radio every day or just sit.

Making long distance phone calls just to chat—even if having to watch the clock.

Being dry and warm even tho it’s cold and rainy.

Being cool and comfortable even tho it’s hot or humid.

Sitting on a swing in the dark night looking at the moon and stars.

Eating out anytime anywhere.  Being served!

Being able to give financially to those in need or organizations I choose to support.

Having clocks, cleaning supplies, wastebaskets in every room.

Living in a clean, orderly and lovely home even if it takes work to maintain it.

Taking care of my body so I am strong and healthy to do things I choose.

Buying a box of hair color and applying it along with makeup/girly girl stuff!

Candles burning in a holder when we don’t even have company.

Knowing how to bargain hunt, sales shop, thrift store treasures—being frugal.

Using fun or beautiful paper to make greeting cards/messages.

Having a full tank of gas in the car.

Being able to pick up the check when out with friends, & knowing when to let them, too.

Supporting a missionary or two, or, gasp!-even four.

Serving at nursing homes, schools, hospitals or wherever folks with needs are.

Flavored coffee or tea or a lemon in my water glass.

A big bed all to myself to spread out and wiggle around in. Plus a good man to share it with!

A fabulous, handsome, godly husband who loves me & terrific kids who care.

A warm bath with a good book to read every night before bed, + a clean nightgown every night.  Clean sheets & pillowcases every week.

Good friends to love and be loved by

Having appliances, pc, calculators, phones, fax, scanner, cameras, stereo, etc.—“stuff”...

A gift box with things on hand to give away when need arises.

A great big God to control this universe and the wealth He bestows upon me.

Have you made YOUR list yet?  Wealth is NOT about money or possessions.  It’s God’s blessings in every area of life.  How can we thank Him if we don’t revel in those blessings?
