Book Review:

My Cup of Blessing by Lynn Johnston

Reviewed by Joe & Karen Corini.

My cup of blessing by Lynn Johnston is a must read and a must share. It is a series of spiritual, heart warming testimonies which tell how God works in a family to bring them to the Lord. It relates how one cup of God’s blessing overflows to many others in a family to glorify Him. His love is eternal and flows from generation to generation.

Johnston’s plain words and dry wit is delightfully refreshing. It is written in a style that cuts to the chase and tells it like it is. In a few short sentences, the reader is captivated.

Johnston takes us from the fields of a Montana sheep ranch to a Bible College in Portland, Oregon, from France during WWII to Shady Cove, Oregon where he and his wife, Edith, currently reside. Each adventure has a purpose in his journey, just as God has a purpose for placing us in adventures in our own journey. The people Johnston writes about come to life and the reader instantly identifies with them and wants to know more. He opens the reader's mind and heart and elevates the thinking to a new paradigm.

A Cup of Blessing is a legacy. We all have a story to tell. After reading this book, one will be inspired to write his or her own story and legacy. Johnston invites us to add our own testimonies to his. The ultimate legacy is the Kingdom of God and as Children of God, we must add our own cup of blessing for future generations.

All who read this book will be blessed to overflowing. We thank Lynn and his wife, Edith, for blessing us with their testimonies. We are looking forward with excitement to see what the Lord has for their future cup of blessing.
