The Authority of the Bible Validated by Science

Believe the Bible Because of Science Rather than in Spite of Science.

Thousands of years ago ancient scripture pre-published details of scientific information that are only now being recognized by modern science.  That pre-publication illustrates the authority of the Bible in that the ultimate author knew the facts, even in science, before modern science independently re-discovered them.

Over three-thousand years ago, Psalms 104 praised God by mentioning many items in the creation sequence. One such item is mentioned to have occurred right after the continents first surfaced, right after the planet earth was no longer covered with ocean.   “And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry [land] appear.”   Genesis 1:9

Right after the dry land appeared, Psalms 104:9 simply mentions the fact that, “ Mountains rose and valleys sank.”

For over two thousand years, translators could not bring themselves to translate that passage correctly. Everyone knew mountains do not go up and valleys do not go down. The King James Version implies that it had to be the waters that went up and down saying,  “ They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys.”

But then, around 1800, slightly over two hundred years ago, scientists discovered that mountains really do rise and valleys really do sink.  Mysteriously, without fanfare, after that discovery, theologians began to translate that passage correctly. 

Many examples like this that demonstrate the inability of human religious leaders to invent a scientifically correct bible without supernatural help. 

Yet, the scientific accuracy of the ancient scripture, even though sometimes misinterpreted by human nature, ultimately demonstrates that modern science validates the authority of the ancient scriptures of the Bible.

There are at least three-dozen distinctly separate major accounts of creation given to us by God. Thirty-four of them are found in the bible.  Two are found in the creation itself.  Those two accounts found in the creation, which science calls, “nature,” is where science is getting all its evidence.

All the creation accounts of the Bible have recently been interleaved into one comprehensive account. The internal agreement among all the ancient scripture accounts, even though recorded by various men of God who did not know each other and were separated by many centuries, combined with the verification by modern science thousands of years later, is astounding evidence of the authority of the Bible.
